When you hear somebody say tire rotation, what immediately comes to mind? Maybe the first thing you think of is your tires rotating in a forward direction as you drive to work or school. The tire rotation that is getting talked about currently is the task of moving each tire from front to back, and alternatively back to front. Tires do not wear evenly. This is inherent to the way your vehicle is designed, but it is also due to the fact that the front tires turn in order to allow your vehicle to negotiate the roadways and hazards. When you turn your wheel either direction while the vehicle is in travel, this may cause additional wear on the corners of each tire. By switching your tires to the back every other oil change (or at the approximate 8,000-mile mark), this allows for even wear on all four tires. Our dealership here at Buena Park Honda in Buena Park, CA, would be happy to accommodate you for your vehicle’s tires needs!
